I am super excited after so many years of rocky work environment to have a great place to come to work each day! Not only do I love the people I work with and love the program I am working in but the rest of the Church is pretty awesome also!
This is the description of the Children’s ministry on our website.

Our Elementary department consists of:
Trailblazers (kindergarten through third grade)
Trekkers (grades four and five)
Elementary aged kids are building a foundation for life. That’s why we think
it’s so important to emphasize two point with these kids:
1) God has a special plan for my life
and
2) The Bible is God’s special book for me.
In Trailblazers the kids learn Bible stories and we show them how God’s plan for people in the
Bible is the same as God’s plan for us. In Trekkers we go deeper because their brain development
allows them to think deeper thoughts and understand things like metaphors. So in Trekkers the kids
learn about the Bible. For example, they learn about the author of a book or a letter, who it was
written to, the culture and the geographic region. We do this to build a foundation that will help
through the coming years as a high school student.
Redwood Kids and Student Ministries Collaboration
Redwood Covenant is very unique. We are know for the collaboration we have between our children’s
and student ministries. Both ministries work hard at collaboratively building a foundation in the lives
of all our kids and students that will prepare them for life. We have carefully constructed a pathway
from birth through high school graduation that guides them through all levels of spiritual development.
Sunday Morning
Sunday morning is our main event. It’s the base of all we do. We do not run things like a regular church.
We write our own Bible-based curriculum, incorporate the five senses into all our learning experiences
and dip it all in a very thick layer of joy. You’ll often see crying kids in the hallways. They’re not crying
because they have to go to church. They’re crying because they have to leave Redwood Kids.
We may not be the biggest children’s ministry around, but we are nationally recognized as one of the best.
Special Events
Besides Sunday mornings, we offer several special events throughout the year. Starting in the fall we have
our Fall Fun Fest, Advent for Families, A Sven & Ole Christmas, Trekker Christmas, Father/Daughter Dance,
Camp Grundywaddle, Space Camp, Girl Talk, Olde Fashioned Picnic and Summer Splash. These special events
are designed to give you the opportunity to invite friends and family who normally would not go to a church.
Our goal is to serve the community and show them that we’re not the kind of church they may be thinking
we are. Most folks find us much more fun and “normal” than they ever expected. Information on all our
special events can be found on our Special Events page.

Asking questions are truly good thing if you are not understanding something completely, but this
paragraph offers nice understanding yet.
