Very emotional return,  I had a long trip back from Texas and when it came to the final leg from LEX to Santa Rosa I was jumping up and down. I was so excited on the plane the guy next to was really nice and offered to carry my backpack out for me!  I lost it pretty much when the plane turned and I saw my girls behind the gate holding signs and looking for me…

It has been a long standing tradition in our family to give sandwiches out at Christmas….actually we do this as a family pretty often but this Christmas was a little extra special being able to serve the homeless in this way with my girls 

My Brother Matthew got married at an amazing little barn, it was a great day and everyone had a great time! #beerbuckles 

We went on a nice little hike in the woods when I got back, it was amazing to be outdoors around TREES!!! I missed these things

The Army said Shanna and I had to go to LA for Yellow Ribbon……Disneyland saved our trip

Well, I have been back for a couple months now and I am ready to get my blogging going again.  If you are new to my blog you can read back some previous posts, but I was deployed to Kuwait in 2012.  I learned some things during that time about myself, and the Army.  God really used me in a different way while I was gone and I strive to fulfill his promises each and everyday.

I enjoy writing about different things going on and it is kind of a good outlet, whether anyone reads my blog or not that’s another questions.  I am terrible at English and if you cannot see past my bad spelling (even after Spell check) and poor punctuation I am truly sorry.   Coming home has pretty much been the greatest thing to happen for our family.   Being gone definitely helped me to appreciate my amazing wife and my two very special and uniquely different little girls.  I have enjoyed spending time with them this last two weeks while they have been on break and I look forward to summer vacation and spending time with them then as well.   I was coming home with some very specific things I wanted to work on and hopefully I am working on those and moving closing to my goals. Down the road a bit I will post some things about how it has been returning to Ministry at an amazing Church!
